The Costa Brava offers a great variety of landscape and coastal villages of fishing tradition. Cadaqués is located at the cape of Creus, the northernmost area of the Costa Brava, and has been home and inspiration of some artists such as Picasso or Dalí (from whom you can visit their summer house). Cadaqués still retains a Bohemian atmosphere with a spectacular gastronomic offer and wonderful landscapes.
In the town of L’Escala you can visit the ruins of Empúries, the first Greco- Roman settlement of the Iberian Peninsula with more than two thousand five hundred years of history located in an idyllic spot in front of the Mediterranean.
Calella de Palafrugell is a small traditional fishing village, it is an ideal balcony to enjoy the views of the sea, some snack or lunch.
Tossa de Mar still preserve a magical old town, from which it is easy to travel back in time walking through its small cobbled streets and its medieval wall from where there are views to the sea and to the town from different points.
You can combine two or three villages in a single day or you can also combine one of these villages with a visit to the Dalí Museum in Figueres or Girona. For this visit it is necessary to book a car with a private driver for the transfers.
